John Stuart Mill

ANCESTORADAPTEDDIVERGED

Distribution is a human institution (grounds the founding move); the rent/profit meter, the displacement→rent self-funding dividend, and the stationary state rooting the meaning axis.

What we took

Distribution is a human institution, not a law of nature — the ground of the founding move that value-for-governance is chosen, not discovered. The rent/profit demarcation becomes a working meter (a non-distortion theorem, a reproducibility test); displacement→rent makes the dividend self-funding; and the stationary state — abundance without growth-worship — roots the meaning axis. "Land" is extended to compute and data.

Where we diverge — and how we answer

Diverges on the "demand for commodities is not demand for labour" remedy and on Say's Law — the doctrine takes Keynes's correction on effective demand instead.

The net position

The economic module's ancestor across the board — the founding move, the rent meter, the displacement engine, and the fiscal constitution — augmented and sharpened, not overturned.

Every position is read at the source. See the whole register on Lineage & Critique, or the doctrine itself in The System.
