Henry George
Rent-to-commons is core doctrine, generalized from land to AI-compute, data and network-effects — "the new land".
Edition read. Progress and Poverty (1879); the land-value tax tradition.
What we took
Rent from land and nature belongs to all: tax the unearned rent, not production. Axiacracy makes this a core pillar and generalises it from land to the new land — AI-compute, data, and network-effects, which the commons overwhelmingly created — with Smith's improvement-exclusion so that only the unimproved rent is captured and effort is never penalised.
The net position
Adopted and generalised — the land-value insight extended to the rent-bearing substrate of the AI economy.
Every position is read at the source. See the whole register on Lineage & Critique, or the doctrine itself in The System.
